The series of the Lego-IGR from Traveller’s Tales can be safely distinguished in a special and very successful genre. Of course, she is presented with fair claims: the basis, and, frankly, many small details of the gameplay have not changed since the release of Lego Star Wars in 2005. But, as it turned out, this circumstance does not care at all – the audience is ready to play with the famous children's designer almost forever. Therefore, the series still exists and, apparently, will not disappear, until the films, books and comics suitable for licensing end. Or until everyone is finally fades.
The phenomenon of the longevity of the series is based on a simple idea to the genius: give the player a chance with a computer game for a short time to return to childhood, to the designer’s cubes laid out on the floor, and help to recreate the adventures of your beloved heroes. And even if the last Lego Harry Potter: Years 5-7 is completely secondary in the framework of its genre today, it has been made with such a love for the original source that today is perhaps the best game about the adventures of the young wizard.
Plastic life
Behind children's surroundings, a very clear and logical system is hidden from multi -colored blocks. There are several classes of characters: “bright” and “dark” wizards, “strong men” (like Dudley and Hagrid) and even pets (for example, Hermione’s fat cat is vigorous). All of them have a set of specific skills, as well as their weaknesses: hefty hagrid can destroy objects that are not subject to magic wands with bare hands, but at the same time it does not possess magic, and domestic animals can dig up bonuses from under the ground and climb pipe. The original application was also found by magical potions: like helmets from Lego Star Wars, they give some characters with the abilities of others and open the road to previously inaccessible places.
[Bullet]] Hogwarts is huge, and so that the player does not get lost, ghosts are flying around the building.
An intuitive signaling system helps to navigate if, under the words of "agameni" or, say, "Expeeliarmus" you are involuntarily lost. You see red blocks in front of you? Choose a red icon and bullet with a Diffindo spell on them. Poisonous ivy blocked the road? Fad his "lumos", marked in the inventory of green. Despite the apparent primitivism, the game from this (sorry for the involuntary pun) only wins.
It’s only a pity that the multi -stage puzzles for ingenuity are a little here. Each second story task comes down to a banal destruction of the level in search of the next item, which the owner needs to be returned (by the way, why are you doing this is also often completely incomprehensible) or added as an ingredient in the potion. Very soon you start to miss the action, which, not being the stronger side of the Lego Series, nevertheless introduced a tangible diversity in previous games. But, alas, as in last year Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4 , Instead of punishing Death Eaters, Harry prefers to study diligently and help negligent fellow students who are always stuck somewhere and something losing.
[[Bullet]] Do not be surprised at the unusual perspective: Weasley's relatives know how to move along the walls thanks to the magical Velcro of Fred and George.
True, at the end of Potter, the companions leave Alma Mater, there are more battles, but the state of affairs still does not change much. Of course, you can always refer to the source (we mean a book, not a movie), where everything happened like this. And an unsuccessful attempt to turn a magic wand into a machine gun has already been undertaken in a boring game Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 based on the film of the same name. And yet, local puzzles desperately require that they are diluted with action.
All your details
A sip of fresh air partly becomes a duel that Harry studies almost at the very beginning of the game. The battles take place one on one within https://jackpot-village-casino.co.uk/ the magic circle, half of which is painted in the color of the spell chosen by the enemy. Our task is to have time to switch “to the same wave” and to turn the fire button before sitting, trying to overcome the opponent. This, by the way, is far from always simple, and therefore-for some time interesting.
[Bullet]] In each duel you have to survive at least four rounds, and from this magical confrontations become even more exciting.
Flashbeki is another excellent innovation. At certain moments, the world of the game turns yellow as if it had been shot on the old film, and we find ourselves in someone's memory. For example, one day we are given to play for young James Potter and personally mock the future professor Snape. It looks very stylish and unusual, and the very opportunity to participate in such episodes is a real gift to fans.
In place and traditional features of the series. Charming videos fill the scenes familiar from films and books, and the better you remember them, the more pleasure you will get. Without knowledge of the original source, any meaning to play is generally almost disappeared, but you will not want. All the hands of the characters will become completely incomprehensible and will look extremely ridiculous.
[[Bullet]] unlike the latest films, the game does not even have a hint of darkness and pathos.
Well, those who like Harry Potter's works can get stuck in the game for a very long time: to go 100% and collect all possible items, each level will have to rode several times several times. Details collected on the battlefields make it possible to open about two hundred (!) characters invented by Joan Roling (including heroes dressed in alternative costumes). Not to mention additional spells, school emblems and a lot more.
There are good news for lovers of a cooperative. This time, TT Games surpassed themselves, making a very convenient split-scrining that allows players to freely run in different parts of the level.
But the real magic of Lego Harry Potter: Years 5-7 is not how it is played, and not even in parodies for popular scenes, but how the world has been worked out. Directing a magic wand to a particular object, you never know what to expect. And anything can happen: a motionless skeleton suddenly comes to life and begins to dance, and an unremarkable red box in the corner can turn into a puppet theater, on the stage of which Harry’s battle with Volan de Mortia is played out. Sometimes, running past piles of bouncing cubes, it is simply impossible to resist the temptation to collect them – just to see, but what happens. Remember, at the beginning of the review we talked about the opportunity to return to childhood? Here you can easily do it again.

Attention to details, corporate humor and convenient cooperative regime. Perhaps this is not the best of the Lego IGR, but definitely the most exciting arrangement of Joan Roling books into the language of interactive entertainment.
